Nawar Kamal's journey as a jewelry designer began at the age of 14, sparked by a transformative trip to Ghana. There, she encountered the vibrant world of recycled glass beads, recycled brass, and the intricate art of jewelry making. Inspired by what she discovered, Nawar felt compelled to bring elements of this experience back to her homeland, Sudan. Her vision was to infuse the essence of these materials with the traditional Sudanese jewelry, blending cultures and techniques to create something truly unique and meaningful. This fusion became the cornerstone of Nawar's creative process, driving her passion for craftsmanship and cultural exchange within the realm of jewelry design.
